One World Rental is committed to upholding sustainable practices that align with global standards for environmental responsibility, ethical labor conditions, and transparent supplier due diligence. As a global provider of IT equipment rental services, we recognise the environmental and social impact of our business operations and are dedicated to minimising our footprint while promoting responsible practices throughout our supply chain.

This policy applies to:

All One World Rental operations, including sourcing, rentals, maintenance, logistics, and disposal.

All employees, suppliers, contractors, and partners associated with One World Rental.

Objectives

Reduce Environmental Impact

One World Rental strives to minimise the environmental impact of its operations and reduce waste, emissions, and energy consumption wherever possible.

Ensure Fair Labor Conditions

We are committed to providing fair and safe working conditions for all employees, suppliers, and contractors, upholding ethical labour standards across our supply chain.

Conduct Supplier Due Diligence on Sustainability

We actively assess and monitor our suppliers to ensure they align with One World Rental's sustainability standards and values.

1. Environmental Sustainability

One World Rental takes proactive steps to reduce the environmental impact of its operations by addressing energy use, waste, and emissions.

a. Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction

Operational Efficiency: Implement energy-efficient practices in our facilities and encourage sustainable transportation solutions.

Renewable Energy: Where feasible, transition to renewable energy sources to power our offices and operations.

Carbon Reduction: Set annual targets to reduce carbon emissions, including efforts to offset emissions resulting from equipment transport and operations.

Our EU warehouse has solar panels to support energy efficiency efforts.

b. Waste Management and EOL Equipment Disposal

Waste Minimisation: Reduce, reuse, and recycle materials to minimise waste.

End-of-Life (EOL) Disposal: Dispose of equipment responsibly by following the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013, Environmental Protection Act 1990, and other relevant legislation.

Recycling Initiatives: Partner with certified e-waste recyclers to ensure responsible disposal of EOL equipment, prioritising reuse and recycling over landfill disposal.

c. Sustainable Product Choices

Eco-friendly Products: Prioritise products with reduced environmental impact in our procurement processes, including energy-efficient and sustainably manufactured IT equipment.

Packaging and Transport: Reduce packaging materials and select sustainable transportation options for equipment shipment, prioritising reusable and recyclable materials.

2. Labor Conditions

One World Rental adheres to international standards for fair and ethical labour practices and expects the same commitment from our suppliers and partners.

a. Fair Wages and Working Hours

Fair Compensation: Ensure all employees receive fair wages, in compliance with local regulations.

Working Hours: Promote healthy work-life balance with reasonable working hours and adequate rest periods, following local laws and standards.

b. Safe and Healthy Work Environment

Health and Safety Standards: Provide a safe work environment for all employees, with regular health and safety training and access to protective equipment when needed.

Regular Audits: Conduct periodic safety audits to ensure a safe workplace and make improvements as necessary.

c. Non-Discrimination and Inclusion

Equal Opportunity: Uphold a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination, providing equal opportunities for all employees regardless of gender, race, religion, or background.

Respect for Human Rights: Ensure that human rights are respected throughout our operations and require that our suppliers uphold these same standards.

3. Supplier Due Diligence

To ensure that our sustainability standards extend throughout our supply chain, One World Rental conducts regular due diligence on suppliers and requires documented evidence of their commitment to sustainability.

a. Supplier Selection and Monitoring

Sustainability Criteria: Assess suppliers based on environmental impact, labour conditions, and adherence to relevant regulations, such as the WEEE Regulations 2013, Environmental Protection Act 1990, and Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2008.

Periodic Assessments: Conduct annual assessments of suppliers, focusing on their commitment to sustainable practices, environmental impact, and ethical labour conditions.

b. Sustainability Criteria and Methods

Criteria: Suppliers are evaluated based on their commitment to:

Reducing carbon footprint and waste

Using renewable or sustainable resources

Providing fair labour conditions and wages

Complying with applicable environmental regulations

Methods:

Questionnaires: Issue sustainability and labour condition questionnaires to suppliers to assess alignment with One World Rental's values.

Documentation: Request signed sustainability declarations from suppliers, documenting their sustainability practices.

Site Audits: Where feasible, conduct on-site audits to verify adherence to sustainability standards.

c. Documentation and Accountability

Supplier Agreement: Require suppliers to sign a sustainability declaration acknowledging their commitment to comply with the above criteria and One World Rental's standards.

Continuous Improvement: Encourage suppliers to continuously improve their sustainability practices. Suppliers with low compliance may be placed on a corrective action plan or, if needed, terminated from the supplier network.

4. Policy Review and Continuous Improvement

This policy is reviewed annually to ensure alignment with current sustainability standards and best practices. Revisions are made as necessary to improve One World Rental's environmental and social impact.
